Pause

I tore my MCL and Popliteus January 19th skating the MLK park. I've been written off of work by doctors for atleast 3 weeks. I have basically been icing my knee and chillen watching the Volcom Pipeline Pro. Hopefully soon I will be released to go back to work and get back on my feet so I can create.

Haley Robinson

A good friend of mine, Haley Robinson, decided to paint a mural on her parents bedroom wall when they were out of town on vacation. She snapped a few shots every so often to create this awesome timelapse. Haley is one hell of an artist. Check out her goods.

New Film

I got back some film from the lab a couple days ago. Most of the photos are from New Years Eve and some friends during the not so big swell we got. I shot Kodak T-Max P3200 and some Fuji Velvia 100. The Kodak roll was termed into the party cam for NYE. I remember shooting 4 of those shots. My neighbors downstairs shot the rest. The Fuji was pushed 1 stop then X processed (thanks to Bob Hoste for suggesting that.) I'm not a fan of the colors and contrast, but I think a few came out cool. The one shot of James Tull I really dig. His wife bought him a Holga 60mm lense for Christmas and he let me try it with his portrait. I hope you enjoy. xo

One night in a palm farm...

One night I headed over to my buddy Vincent's for a few beers after work. He has a palm farm in his backyard. We were bored and I had my strobe setup that I hadn't shot with a power pack yet, so we ventured into those rat nested palms. Tommy & Vincent...

I'm back

The past 3 months have been pretty dry for me. Literally dry. I haven't been surfing in nearly 3 months and I haven't shot water in over a year. I started getting back in the water last week with my roommate Bryce and my friend Dom. If you're in San Diego, then you know what kind of weather we've been having. It's been really warm and clear. I've really been trying to slow down, shoot less sequences, and focus more on what the water around me is doing. These shots are from a day at Beach Ave and a couple days at Blacks. It actually looks a lot better than it was. Yesterday was the most crowded I've ever seen Blacks and I almost got ran over 5 times. Must be the spot to go when it's under head high.

Brahhhh

The last week in California has been amazing for shooting. The weather has been in the high 70's and the wind has been in our favor. The swell was kinda hyped (as they always are) but I still managed to get some cool water shots. I'll post some in the near future. Here's to Eric Warner's favorite hand gesture...

A Day With Taya

Here is a video I just had finished of Taya Rogers from my last trip up to LA. Besides modeling and acting, baking is one of her favorite things to do and she is incredible at it. This day we were actually trying to get 2 clips done, one being a city walk, and the other, a baking video. Things didn't work out as I planned, but sometimes that's how it goes. I ended up merging 20% of the city footage into this baking piece and both Taya and I are very happy with the results.I hope you enjoy it.
