Mah dawgs

If you follow my instagram, then you know I am a dog person. I LOVE dogs! Lately I've been spending so much time in LA for my knee, I've been chillen hard with my friends dogs.
This fool Bdog seriously makes my day. He steals your socks and chews on almost anything, but it's impossible to get mad at him.I recently got to catch up with some long time friends Buck and Danielle that moved up here so they could be close to LA for Danielle's modeling/acting career. They also have some amazing dogs Garbanzo and Zoey.

Gentleman Start Your Engines...

A while back, my good homie Blake Wernli hit me up to see if I was interested in taking photographs of his Harley that he'd built from the ground up. I have always had an interest in motorcycles. I grew up riding dirt bikes, but beyond my childhood memories, I've always been fascinated with the entire Harley scene. When Blake told me (12 hours before the guy arrived to buy the bike) that the only photos he had of the bike were ones taken with his phone, I jumped at the opportunity to help my friend out with something that would last him a lifetime. I shot everything with a Canon A1 35mm using Kodak 400 color film. The first lifestyle shot was with a Canon 5dmkii. Lighting was 1 Calumet 350 wireless strobe.

This was a beautiful Harley to shoot. I've seen a lot of bikes in my day and let me tell you, if I had an extra $xx,000, I would have purchased it right then and there from Blake. I hope you appreciate the bike featured in these photos. It, like all my photography, took a little bit (A LOT) of heart, knowledge, and creativity to make the final product. Cheers Blake, you built one hell of a bike.

Venice Beach

Wednesday, David and Eddie brought me to Venice Beach, a place I've never been to before in my life. That place is effing crazy! Here are some portraits I shot while crutchin around Venice.

Taya Rogers Look Book

Here's some photos my brother in law Brad Kawamura and myself shot of Taya Rogers for LookBook. Brad did an amazing job shooting Taya in Hermosa Beach. Me being on the injured list, makes it difficult to move around, so I normally bring the camera with me whenever we go eat and shoot when I'm sitting. The daytime shots are what I got of Taya when she brought me out for coffee and the night ones are what Brad shot at the beach. Be sure to watch Taya walk fashion week live on Polyvore.
My good homie Eddie Arana runs a rad online clothing store, Gnarle. I've done a few shoots with him previously for his company. I was psyched when he asked me to be apart of this project where he wanted to shoot the silk screening process to make his tee shirts. Here is the final video we created for Gnarle. I hope you like it.

LA MRI

I'm up in LA staying with my homegirl Taya Rogers. Today I'm chillen on Taya's couch resting my knee and tomorrow I get my final MRI reading to see if I need surgery. Taya leaves for New York Wednesday to walk in fashion week. My awesome brother in law Brad, Taya, and Eddie wheel-chaired me somewhere up in Hermosa to some beach where I assisted my brother and Taya with a shoot. Here's a screengrab of a few. I'll keep ya posted.
